Estella T. Austin Obituary (1938 - 2016)

Sidney, Maine: Estella T. Austin, 77, died Saturday, June 25, 2016, at Augusta Long Term Care. She was born in Portland, Maine on December 6, 1938 the daughter of Ernest and Esther (Sopher) Weed. Estella graduated from Erskine Academy and was trained as a CNA and Med-Tech She had been employed by Bennett Insurance Agency and Harbor Hill both of Belfast, Maine. Estella was active in Jehovah’s Witness, and was a long term caregiver for her husband Charles A. Austin who died in 1995. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by a son Carlton Austin; and 2 sisters, Joyce Rowe and Esther Farrar. Surviving are her children, Charles “Sonny” Austin Jr of Searsport, Maine, Chandra McLellan of Sidney, Maine, Connie Austin of Plant City, Fla., and Carin Moulton of Bucksport, Maine; 15 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be 3:00 PM Thursday, June 30 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness, Cross Hill Road in Augusta, Maine, burial will be at a later date in Weeks Mills.
